3 ANTIQUE PRINTER'S CHASES PRINTING CHASE POSSIBLY KELSEY PRINTING PRESS CHASE Finding new homes for my dad's printing equipment. Sadly he passed a few years ago and now I have to find some old school printers that can use some of his treasures. I am sorry to say I really don't know much about what I have but I believe that these are chases. My dad had all sorts of old time printing equipment so I can even say what type of machines these might have been used with. I am guessing that possibly they go with a Kelsey press but again I am not sure. They are heavy metal and I have 2 different sizes. The 2 smaller chases seem to be the exact same size and measue on the outside approx. 7 3/4" by 11 3/8". The inside measurements are approx. 6 1/2" x 10 1/4". One has the letter S and the number 29 on it. Not sure if the second one has any markings. I thnk there is one very light marking on it. The large chase measures on the outside approx. 13 5/8" x 10 3/8". The inside measurements are 8" x 12 1/8". This has the number 253212 on it. I also have a fully operational Linotype machine for sale if anyone is interested please let me know.
