OK...these are very specialized smokes, let me describe first. Four wire smoke (12-24v) non-latching w\builtin sounder, aux rellay and isolated heat sensor. OK that said the uses for this vary immensely. So the terminals are power (4) 2 + (in,out) 2-, 4 alarm contacts 2 in 2 out that are isolated and tripped with heat detection not smoke. There are relay contacts NO, com, NC that are tripped with smoke detection. So knowing that you can imagine some different uses. For me I used these for applications of required systems that could not have smokes on the alarm panel due to false alarms but NFPA required interconnected smokes for life safety. Ysing thewse smokes made it so we only needed one device not two (heat and smoke). If that is of interest to you I can include a wiring diagram of how that is accomplished. Hint on polarity reversal smokes sound a steady output. Also this smoke is good if someone is hearing impaired you can run a strobe off the relay. Many more uses haven't been thought of yet. good luck.
