3 Polished 8"D Brass Sieves, Special FINE Sizes: one of each: #400, #325, #230 USA, ASTM E11, FDA, reliable particle separations Three sieves; one of each hard-to-get sizes #400, #325 and #230. (Retail total price new is over $300.) These used, Bright, polished Brass Sieves meet US Standard Sieve Series and ASTM specifications for Particle Separation sieves. For your convenience we have listed the US Standard Sieve size or number in the Table below along with the opening in mm and inches. They are made in strict accordance with ASTM E11 specifications for uniform opening size and wire size. All are standard full size, which is 8" D x 2" deep with a bottom ring for stacking many on top of each other. All the materials used are also approved according to FDA requirements for foods. Some of them have a few inert particles embedded in the grid that are not removable. These three ( 3 ) particular sieves are very convenient for separations of very fine particles of all types. We also have many other sizes available as shown in some of the photos. This may include separating Soils, Grains, Ceramics, Powders, Hobby Materials, R&D Mixtures, Forensic, Residues, coating fillers, etc as well as material that has been processed, milled or ground. Excellent also for removing contaminants from already sized materials. We recommend using several different sized sieves and running successive separations, especially for complex mixtures and very small particle size. Can be used, cautiously, with very dilute solutions. Particles sometimes need to be backflushed out of the sieves.
