This 3Com 3C16479 Baseline Switch 2824 is a 24-port Gigabit device that is currently available for purchase in USED condition. This switch is made by 3COM and is an external, 1U enclosure type that has 24 Ethernet ports that support 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, and 1000Base-T. With a data transfer rate of 1 Gbps, this switch supports Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, and Gigabit Ethernet data link protocols. It is a wired Connectivity Technology and supports both half-duplex and full-duplex Communication Mode. The switching protocol for this device is Ethernet, and it has a MAC Address Table Size of 32K entries. The power device for this device is an internal power supply that requires AC 120/230 V ( 50/60 Hz ) and has an operational power consumption of 45.7 Watt. The dimensions of the switch are 17.3 inches in width, 6.8 inches in depth, and 1.7 inches in height. Lastly, it weighs 4.4 pounds and is an excellent deal considering that it costs $189 when brand new. This switch comes with various features like Flow control, layer 2 switching, auto-sensing per device, auto-negotiation, auto-uplink (auto MDI/MDI-X), store and forward, and Quality of Service (QoS). Additionally, it is compliant with standards set by IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3z, IEEE 802.1D, IEEE 802.3ab, IEEE 802.1p, and IEEE 802.3x. The interfaces for this switch include 24 x network - Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T - RJ-45 female and it is compliant with FCC Class A certified, CSA, EN 60950, EN55022, ICES-003, UL 1950, VCCI Class A ITE, IEC 60950, and EN55024 standards.
