General information on the High-Z series/ photos of sample applications by our customers: The original High-Z from CNC-STEP : Professionals, model makers and hobbyists have been waiting long for this machine. Together with our development department and engineers from the machine construction and electronic sector, we have developed a machine, which is setting new standards with regard to dimension, cost/perfomance ratio and stiffness as well as stability due to its new geometry. Thanks to its frame construction which is opened downwards and the missing belt between the X-actuators, this machine is perfectly suited for a great variety of applications and allows the handling of long working pieces. Because of the robust frame which exists of a special aluminium profile and which is opened downwards, almost no limits exist when processing small or high working pieces. Unfortunately our construction was already imitated by 3 other "companies", however only sold with moderate success until today. This is probably due to the fact that these companies do not adequately emphasize the importance of quality, which we did from the very beginning. When milling aluminum or steel the qualitative differences show up clearly at the latest. Each employee of our company is commited to the products of CNC-STEP. For example the spindle nuts are manually adapted to the spindles using special tools that cost several thousand Euros in order to obtain the smallest possible backlash. The simple integration of parts conforming to the DIN (German norm for industrial parts) is almost impossible with this machines. Let the salesman show up the EMV examination results of the controller that you acquired with this machine! For economical reasons, some well-known manufacturers unfortunately deliver the machines with age-old EMV exminations which are based only on one controller and does not include changed or subsequent controllers by the manufacturer! This way they try to make their customers think how extremely precise their machine is. Actually, a machine can always work only as precise as the drive screw is. The trapezium spindle used by us has an accuracy of 0,1mm on 300mm, i.e. approx. 0,03mm on 100mm ( 10mm on 0,003mm ). With this accuracy you may even realise belabouring working pieces of aluminium or brass. You need it more accurate only in very seldom cases. Further more, you can read very often in the technical press that in very expensive machines, expensive linear bearings are implemented for the slides. What are the ball-rotating stored linear slides, when the drive screw is a normal trapezium spindle, which is not guided in a ball circulating nut ? It is much easier for the manufacturer of the machine to hide quality deficits in the parallelism of the guide ways, as the ball-rotating stored guide ways run correctly and smoothly even at a deviation of 0,1mm from parallelism. The existing traverse clearance in a buttress thread nut to a spindle is with our machines less than 0,03 mm. This can be adapted in the software in programme PCNC up to zero. The traverse clearance makes out only a few steps of the motors. Some closing words to Do-It-Yourself Machines: Keep your hands off quotations for only little used machines from private persons without any legal basis and without any warranty !! These machines do not have a CE-Approval and are consequently neither allowed to be operated nor to be sold. Observing the market here in E-Bay over a certain period of time, one can recognise that permenently Do-It-Yourself machines are put into circulation. Partly, within 2 months, the same machines are being offered by up to 3 different sellers. Probably they think: In case it is no good, sell it again in E-Bay! Somebody will buy the rubbish for a great deal of money. Machines sold within the EU have to undergo an EC-Approval including a danger analysis and an EMV Prufung etc. Only very few private sellers are able to fulfil these security criteria, as these approvals alone cost approx. 10000 Euro. Being precise, such machines are forbidden to trade with or to operate in Germany. At the latest when during operation the machine catches fire due to a short circuit or somebody gets injured at dealing with the machine it will become obvious that nobody can benefit from this. When the operator has observed the operating instructions, the manufacturer will be blamed for the damage caused.
