3D Systems Invision SI2 printer, not working, sold "as-is" for parts or repair. September 2005 manufacture date. Comes with a power cord (20A 3-prong 115V, C19 to 5-20P) but no other accessories or documentation. I believe it has four or five tubes of the model material and a couple tubes of the support material in it. I purchased this as a basically functional printer that "needs some work". During the first power up cycle it made it through about an hour of pre-heating (through warming stages 4 and 3, and about 3/4 through stage 2) and then something blew - no smoke, but a pop and a flash and the odor of burnt electronics. The front display and heaters/blowers all went down, but one set of power supply fans and some lights on the back were still on when I pulled the plug, so I assume the problem is in one of the secondary power supplies. The system had less than 700 hours of build time and less than 17000 hours of run time. I don't know the cure hours or material stats, I only saw them once while flipping through the as the machine was warming up. Everything appears to be in good physical condition, although there are some scuffs on the left side and general signs of use. The inside looks clean (except for the material that dripped out when the system died), everything pretty much looks right. Unfortunately that's all I know about it - I don't know what was meant by "needs some work", the guy who possessed that info had left the company before I bought the printer from them. I believe it is complete, please see the pictres for details. (There is a sliding stage in the front of the chamber which is not shown in the pictures - unfortunately the door doesn't open unless the machine is on, and I don't want to force it...) The printer itself weighs almost 600 pounds, I can wrap it in cardboard and strap it to a 48"x42" pallet (64" tall non-stackable) for freight shipment, total weight should be under 650 pounds. However, I don't ship freight that often, so I get pretty bad rates - if you have a freight company you work with it may be considerably cheaper to arrange the shipping yourself.
