Product Description Scotch(R) Detectable Buried Barricade Tape 406 - CAUTION BURIED ELECTRIC LINE BELOW, Aluminum Backing with Red Striping and Black Letters, 3” x 1000’ x 0.005” (7.6 cm x 304.8 m x 0.127 mm). Made in China. From the Manufacturer Scotch® Detectable Buried Barricade Tape 406 helps make locating underground electrical installations easy. The tape is buried 12” to 24” below the ground and a safe distance above the buried electrical lines. An aluminum backing makes underground installations easier to find when using a non-ferrous locator. If the tape is unearthed, the words “CAUTION BURIED ELECTRIC LINE BELOW” printed in black on a red stripe provide an additional warning. Properly installed, this tape may help avoid dangerous accidents from occurring due to inaccurate digging. Scotch™ Detectable Buried Barricade Tape 406 is 5-mil thick and constructed of a solid aluminum backing with a red laminate. This warning tape is color coded to meet or exceed the industry standards of the American Public Works Association (APWA).
