 3m Breathe Easy Turbo Powered Air Purifying Respirator  with butyl hood,  NEW      From a fire department which decided to go with newer equipment.  These units were removed from the box, but never issued or used.  The Breathe Easy Turbo unit is worn like a belt.  It has three replaceable filters which all filter the air.  A fan in the unit sucks in air through the filters and sends it out through a hose which goes to the butyl hood.  The hose connects to the hood which has two layers.  There is a 'dark side' and 'light side'.  You put the hood on first, then put on your suit over the 'dark side' and zip the suit up.  Then the 'light side' is flipped down to cover the top of the suit.  This gives the best protection against splashing and air infiltration.  The hood sits on the head with some padded straps to position it.  There is an elastic band at the neck to help seal it.  The faceshield is a clear flexible plastic and has an exhaust valve which lets the air out.  This system does not have a traditional 'gas mask' style of face piece, this is a hood that goes over the head.  The faceshield is folded in the manufacturer's packaging so it will have creases in it.  They do come out if you drape it over something round and keep it warm.      The unit is battery powered BUT BATTERIES ARE NOT INCLUDED.  They have expired and are no longer reliable, plus they're heavy and a hazmat so they're a pain to ship.  Batteries are readily available (both disposable and rechargeable) or with some ingenuity you can rig up an adapter.   This is what you will get -      - The Turbo power unit      - 3 NEW, but EXPIRED (in 2009) filters, still sealed in their vacuum bags.      - The hose that goes from the power unit to the hood and a butyl hose cover.      - The butyl hood, sealed in its bag.      - The flow test kit, with lots of instructions and paperwork.  Shipping is included in the price
