3M Littmann Master Cardiology Stethoscope, Black Plated Chestpiece and Eartubes, Black Tube, 27 inch, 2161 I took this out of the box for pictures and to make sure it worked. I put it to my chest and could hear my heart. If you want other test done with it let me know. The retail box shows signs of distress. Many items I purchase like this one is a “Shelf Pull”(See definition below). This item was not previously own buy one individual. On these types of items I inspect them for functionality and for inclusion of all the parts. I take pictures of all items to show you exactly what is included in your purchase. Small item's like electric hair trimmers(just one example) are usually sold in bulk lots of shelf pulls only because people opened, inspected, or played with the item in the store. Large retail chain stores then just bag the items with it's box and sent them for sale in bulk lots. I would never deliberately sell a item that is not working but such an item my be new but not in perfect/mint condition. If item’s that have obvious defects, missing parts or has some other problem that should affect the value of the product – this information will be clearly stated in my description. Shelf Pulls - Shelf pulls were previously available for sale in a retail environment but were never sold. They usually possess one or more price tags and/or stickers, indicating multiple markdowns, and have been exposed to appreciable customer contact. In addition, since most of these items are sent through a reverse supply chain (e.g. from a retailer back to a centralized warehouse), they can show signs of further handling. Accordingly, Shelf Pulls may exhibit a wide range of individual product and package conditions that can differ substantially from the original manufacturing.
