Red Polyester Circuit Plating Tape from 3M, 311°F (anodizing, masking for printed circuit boards, plating, splicing) 3M's 1280 is a polyester film tape with unique adhesive for printed circuit board masking during electroplating. The unique adhesive also excels in bonding/splicing siliconized papers. Typical uses include masking for circuit board plating and splicing of silicone treated paper. Total Thickness: 3.6 mils Temperature Maximum: 311°F Typical Masking Uses: Masking for circuit board plating, masking of many printed wiring boards during solder stripping, and precious metal plating of fingers. Typical Splicing Uses: Splicing of silicone treated papers. Color: Red / Pink Carrier: 0.9 mil Polyester film Low stretch polyester film for machine, as well as hand application. Polyester backing reduces stretch and recovery of tape and associated uneven stop-off line. Adhesive: 2.7 mil pressure sensitive blended silicone and rubber adhesive system. Thick adhesive coating reduces undercutting because adhesive helps block out solutions between fingers. Solvent clean up of the board is recommended to facilitate subsequent soldering. Two of the rolls are untouched, the other two have a couple of feet missing from them.  I have quite a bit for sale right now so please check out my other listings as well!
