You are considering an air float, or air cushion table. We are not sure what the proper term for this type table would be. Similar items on the internet have been called "air float, air layout, cutting or air conveyor table". We are not sure of it's primary purpose or name. It basically uses a blower to create an air cushion allowing parts to be moved or conveyed easily in all directions (similar to an air hockey table). We cannot find a nameplate anywhere on the table that would indicate a manufacturer or model number. We believe this table was custom or shop built by the original owner for part of their operation. The original owner manufactured office furniture and this item was no longer needed for their process. We have tested this item and it seems to work fine. It has a 5 HP blower mounted to it. It can be run on either 230 or 440 Volt 3 Phase power (currently wired for 230V). It does not have any type of motor control or operating switch with it (we hooked leads directly to the motor to test). The main part of the table measures 4' X 8'. It stands 43-1/2" tall. It is primarily wood construction with a UHMW plastic top. It has 72 "air pockets". Each pocket has a plastic ball in it to limit the amount of air escaping. We are not sure what the maximum "lift" capacity of the air cushion would be. We tested the table with a 4' X 4', 3/4" thick piece of plywood, which it lifted with ease and could be manipulated with one finger. The table has a port in the bottom that allows a good bit of the air to escape. We are not sure if this was to cut down on the backpressure on the blower, or possible used to power some other process. This table has a 45" long X 3" diameter conveyor roller mounted to one end. The opposite end has an angled "ramp" covered with UHMW plastic. Overall the table is in good condition. The UHMW top shows wear on the corners and has several scratches hear and there from use. There are a few air leaks around the edges of the wooden frame which could be sealed easily with a little caulk. Again, you will need some type of motor control to operate the motor on the blower.
