For an easier installation, use our Heavy Duty Fittings (sold separately) Though drinker cups can be screwed directly into holes drilled in PVC pipe, we don't recommend it. Why not to install directly into PVC: - It is difficult to drill holes into the curved surface of a PVC pipe. - Uneven holes leads to uneven drinker cups - Cups are more difficult to remove for cleaning Why using our fittings is better: -Easier to install. Only straight cuts to PVC pipe are required. -Easier to modify or expand your watering solution. Add or remove cups, increase or decrease length as you wish! -In most cases, no glue or cement is required. 1/2" PVC will fit snugly when twisted firmly into our fittings. (PVC cement may of be used for a permanent installation of the fitting, while the drinker cup remains removable) - When they need to be cleaned, cups can be easily removed and reintalled. A flexible, yet simple solution - Design your own system to meet your needs. - Using our fittings (sold separately), you can mount cups to side or bottom of PVC Pipe. Cups can be removed from mounting bracket and re-attached for either style of mounting. - You can even mix and match cups with nipple-style drinkers (sold separately). Important! Our cups should only be used with a low pressure water source.
