Up for bid are 4 hatching eggs from my American Buff breeding pair, Brodi and Brie.  They are a coming 2 year old proven breeding pair who hatched their own goslings last year.  They have been actively breeding for over a month and Brie has been regularly laying eggs.  The American Buff breed is listed as critically endangered by the National Livestock Conservancy.  Of the four breeds of geese that I have on my farm, my American Buffs are the smartest and most personable of all of them.  I love these geese!  They are a good size, just a bit smaller than my Giant Dewlap Toulouse, and they're very smart and easy to tame.  Brodi, my gander, is a total sweetheart, even in the midst of breeding season which is quite rare.  They let me come right in their pen and take their eggs and all they want is for me to pet them and love on them....total sweethearts! I collect eggs twice daily, mark them with the date collected in pencil as well as a "B" for Buff or "T/S" for Toulouse/Sebastopol crossbred. I lightly brush any debris off each egg, but I don't wash them or use a moist washcloth to clean them in anyway. I turn the eggs that are sitting waiting for shipment 3 times each day and they are stored in a cool basement. I package my eggs very well and ship them with the air cell facing up after payment clears to make sure that your eggs are fresh.  I am NOT responsible for postal handling!  I will send you a tracking number and pack your eggs as securely as possible, but I cannot be responsible for what postal employees do with the box after it leaves my hands. It’s also safer to have the eggs held at the receiving post office for the new owner to pick them up.  This keeps the eggs in a nice temperature controlled post office rather than riding around in a cold or hot, rough riding US postal truck ALL day long and could very well result in a better hatch rate.  This can be done by simply marking the box “Hold & Call for Pick-up” and a contact person's phone number on the box.  After the auction ends, I will contact you to find out if you would like to have this service noted on your package. With all the precautions I take, there is no guarantee of how many eggs will hatch.  Buying hatching eggs is an inherent gamble and as much as I hope that each one of your eggs hatches into a beautiful, healthy gosling, I am not responsible for your hatching rate.  The typical hatching rate of shipped goose eggs is not particularly good, so please be aware that if you get 50% of your eggs to hatch, you are doing GREAT! I will leave positive feedback when you pay promptly.  As a buyer, it is only your responsibility to pay for the item(s) you commit to buy, so I won't wait for you to leave me positive feedback first because that's unfair.  Please don't forget to leave me positive feedback when you receive your eggs.   Remember to have your incubator running and ready prior to the arrival of your eggs.  Please allow your newly shipped eggs to settle for at least 24 hours before placing them in your incubator or under a broody hen.  **  If you are unhappy with the transaction, PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE LEAVING NEGATIVE OR NEUTRAL FEEDBACK!  No sales outside the continental US
