Yunzi: This is Sensoro's high end beacon. It has good looking, best design and performance. It is good to be used in customer facing scenario. 2. SmartBeacon-4AA: It is powered by 4 AA batteries (Batteries are not included), which could provide 4000 ~ 6000 mAh and very long battery life. It could decease maintenance cost very much! Its retail price is $9.99. It is not water-proof. It is good for large volume indoor deployment. Long Battery lifeWith same chipset (Nordic, Ti etc) and configuration (Adv interval, Tx Power) , different Beacon provider Beacons' battery life is identical with same battery. The battery life is decided by the battery's electric quantity. Below is normal iBeacon battery's electric quantity and its battery life comparison.1. CR2032: 250 mAh2. CR2450: 500 mAh ==> 2 times of CR2032 battery life3. Actually, in the enterprise environment, if the adv interval is > 400 ms, it will be hard for Smart Phone find the Beacon and the related APP might be out of work with much chance. Some Beacon provider claim their Beacon has 5 years battery life with CR2477 or 2 years battery life with CR2032. That means it is measured with configuration which won't work in enterprise environment. Dual Antenna:In general, Beacon has only one long range antenna and its shortest range is about 2 meter and could not meet some special micro-locating scenario. Sensoro solves this issue as it's SmartBeacon-4AA, SmartBeacon-2AA and SmartBeacon-USB have one extra short range antennas inside and it could provide extra short range. The long range and short range antenna could be switched between them by configuration. And with same Tx Power, different antenna choice will lead to different range. And you could select option with the configuration tool as below. High Signal PerformanceWhen the iBeacon's chipset is same, the iBeacon's major performance is indicator is signal quality. iBeacon's signal quality is decided by antenna design. Whether iBeacon provider could design good antenna could measure iBeacon provider's hardware design ability. In order to achieve good antenna design, the iBeacon hardware provider must have antenna design expert and good test environment. Sensoro has both of them so that its quality is good. For example, with same Nordic chip set, other provider Beacons' max range (+4dBm) could only reach 50 meter ~ 60 meter. SmartBeacon-4AA and SmartBeacon-2AA's max range could reach 100 meter (actually in good environment, the signal could reach 140 meter away). Below is on easy test way to compare with other 2 Beacon providers' iBeacon. It is tested with Nordic (the chipset provider) company's nRF Master Controller, which could install from Andriod play store.     All three beacons are sending broadcast package with 0dbm and 416ms interval. The Smart Phone is SUMSUNG S4. The distance is 1 meter. And the test result as below.      From the result, we can get conclusion.     1. Sensoro's signal is most strong     2. Sensoro's signal is most stable (which is very important for indoor navigation). Extended Broadcast With iBeacon protocol standard, iBeacon will broadcast UUID/MajorId/MinorId. Sensoro iBeacon is compatible with iBeacon protocol. In addition to that, Sensoro Beacon does also broadcast Battery level and other sensors data such temperature and accelerometer data. As below, Sensoro configuration tool is showing the Beacon's battery level and other sensors' data when it DOESN'T connect to the Beacon. Note: Only Yunzi has lightness sensor. SmartBeacon has only temperature and accelerometer sensors. With this ability, Smart Phone APP could get hundreds Beacon's battery level and sensoro data in a few seconds.  And based on that, Sensoro provides central battery management system.  Centralized Battery Management When we deployed 100+ iBeacons, some of them might be running out of battery and needs replacement. How could we find the Beacons needs replacement effectively? Other Beacons' solution(High cost, time consuming): Connect to the Beacons to get battery status ONE BY ONE? It is unstable, time consuming and high cost. It will cost you thousands dollars. And it is not scalable. How about if 1K or 10K Beacons deployed?  Sensoro's Battery Management (Easy, Simple, Enterprise level solution): What we need to do is to install Sensoro Inspection Tool (http://www.sensoro.com/docs/#inspect) in your Smart Phone and by pass the Beacons, the Beacons battery status will be collected by the Inspection tool automatically and uploaded to Cloud in a few seconds. After that, we could check the Beacons' status on Sensoro portal (http://cloud.sensoro.com) as below. Batch Configuration Change For large volume deployment, 100s or 1000s Beacons configuration (UUID/Major/Minor/Adv Interval/Tx power/Password) needs change to meet deployment requirement. The configuration change is time consuming work as it has to be done by Smart Phone to connect to each Beacon one by one. Beacon actually contains a complete micro computing system, including 32-bit ARM® Cortex M0 CPU or 8051, RAM, FLASH, wireless communication module, different types of sensors and Apps. When Beacon is deployed, it continuously broadcasts information through Bluetooth which can be received by your smart phone without Bluetooth pairing. The working principles of iBeacon technology can be described in the following three steps: A Beacon transmits a universally unique identifier through Bluetooth; A compatible App picks up the identifier then looks up over the internet to determine the smart device's physical location; A smart device triggers an action. We say that iBeacon is a digital coordinate deployed in physical world or is a digital electric label that can be attached to any physical object, location or scene. Manufacturing process Every industrial process of Beacon manufacturing matters when in comes to quality. Complexity or simplicity, strictness and slackness directly affect the product diversity shown.   Surface. The most preferred is two-color plastic and intra injection molding, but technically extremely challenging. Many manufactures give up this technology because of the expensive cost in repeated molding adjustments in order to ensure stable shape. Common practice would be single-color molding so as to lower cost and save time. While Yunzi chooses without hesitation the best technology-- two-color plastic injection molding.   Metal craftwork? Tough choice. The average manufactures would not use metal for the higher cost and difficulty. Yunzi is one of the few advocators for metal craftwork. In order to realize artistic design, Yunzi designers use the same iPhone 5S frame aluminum alloy processing technology—well-distributed and delicate anodizing sandblasting and mirror-bright upper and lower flames polishing.
