Packaging Note This is rebagged e5413 aluminum, eckart ships only in 50kg/110lb drums so unless you order that much (which you could if you wanted) there is no official smaller packaging, thanks! **Unimportant Random Dark Aluminum Info For those who don't know coated/dark/blackhead nowadays ALL only means it's flaked aluminum. Stearin coated aluminum appears darker so it's called dark aluminum, charcoal/carbon isnt added to it like some people think. Any aluminum "darker" than my stock picture has charcoal added, when aluminum is finer than 2 micron it turns lighter and BLUE not darker. What coated means - During the process to make aluminum flaked all dark aluminum powder is stearin coated during processing, it makes the process easier, it also protects it from oxidizing, anyone claiming it has anything to do with burn rates is lying, all dark/flaked aluminum now is stearin coated. LONG ago the original 'german blackhead' used carbon black INSTEAD of stearin to assist processing, It weakens the overall brisance of the aluminum and is no longer used nowadays. For super curious people dark al is processed by having a thin aluminum foil sheet in between 2 pieces of stearin coated paper and its run through a super tight press then flaked. And finally the thickness of the flakes determine its burn rate. All flaked aluminums are advertised by their thickness, eckart 5413= @3 micron thick, @46 micron radius flake. Indian dark flakes can be as thick as 6-7 micron and the flakes themselves aren't controlled and are usually far larger than eckart brand.
