USE OF SPLICING ADHESIVE All lap joints: Shall be a minimum of 4' wide. All lap joints shall be shingled where possible toward drains or scuppers. Remove all talc and construction dirt from seaming area with approved cleaners. Allow to dry before application of Splicing Adhesive. Apply splicing Adhesive to both bonding surfaces with 4" paint brush at a rate of 120 lineal feet of 4" lap per gallon. Apply cement in a smooth even coat without globs, puddles, or uncoated areas. Allow Splicing Adhesive to dry until tacky but not stringy. Join bonding surfaces, taking care to avoid stretching or fishmouths. Roll lap joint thoroughly with a roller in the direction perpendicular to one length of the joint. Apply Seam Sealer to exposed edge and tool to assure positive contact with both sheets. Apply Seam Sealer to all lap joints completed during each workday.
