Info found on the web: An enhanced version of Pixim Incorporated's Orca Chipset with image stabilization and continuous auto-focus is integrated into Dallmeier Components' new DCM3032SA Ultra Wide Dynamic Range Integrated Optics Package (IOP) for use in pan-tilt-zoom surveillance cameras. The DCM3032SA zoom block delivers extraordinarily high image quality, surpassing the performance of existing IOPs in several key specifications. The DCM3032SA (see Figure 1) was developed in response to repeated customer requests to integrate Pixim's Orca chipset with Digital Pixel System (DPS) technology, into a Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) dome application. DPS technology achieves all-digital superior picture quality, delivering excellent images in both normal and WDR scenes in any lighting conditions, 24/7, by converting light to a digital signal directly at the point of capture in the image sensor, enabling each pixel to have independent, optimized exposure times. Dome units have quickly overtaken box camera sales growth in the video surveillance market. To meet market demand, Pixim partnered with Dallmeier Components, a new subsidiary of Dallmeier electronics, specifically founded to co-develop and distribute a broad camera product line based on Pixim's DPS technology, including a PTZ video surveillance camera solution based on an enhanced version of the Orca chipset.
