5 slides per listing. You will get 5 histology slides selected at random for each purchase. I can offer the entire lot for a discount, I'll include all the damaged ones for free (they can still be views, the sample itself isn't damaged, just the slide). I don't know what any of these slides are, I am not a biologist. The labelling on the cabinet says liver, tongue... and other human body parts, however, the slides doesn't seem to correspond with the labels. I have around 300 of these vintage histology slides, haven't counted so I'm going to list 250 slides here. The mounter is Ed. J. Prendergast, an Australian scientist. The rest are also from the University of Melbourne, but mounter unknown. They came bundled with a slide cabinet, which is not for sale. The trays are not for sale either. I purchased the lot with the intentions to restore and use the cabinet for my own slides. I have cleaned the slides gently, wiping off the dust and grime due to age. Examples are included, photographed with an Olympus microscope, differential interference contrast. First image is processed, the rest are straight out of the camera. The quality varies, some are very good, some contain traces of fibres and other small contaminants. All slides offered here are ready to be viewed under a microscope, some may have small chips on the edges, none are heavily damaged. The numbering with permanent markers will be removed. Slides are selected at random. They will be mailed in plastic slide mailers and secured with bubble wrap. Parcel post in Australia and standard for the rest of the world. 5 slides weigh about 25g, $25 international shipping at 500g, so that's around 80 slides packed in a small box.
