Description Quality 28 Pin Dip IC Sockets. Fits the popular Atmega48/88/168/328 line of Atmel AVR microcontrollers as well as any other narrow packaged 28 pin (or less) IC. Solder this socket in place of the chip in your circuit so you can remove and replace your IC. This helps with overheating the IC while soldering as well as lets you remove the IC to reprogram it or replace it if it becomes damaged. Pack includes 5 sockets.
