25 Watt Compact Power Supply Perfect for that QRP rig or just tinkering! Here’s an excellent desk top power supply that offers two regulated outputs, +5 VDC and +12 VDC, each rated at 1.5 Amps. Input requirements are 100 to 240 VAC, 47 to 63 Hertz. Outputs are provided through a 5 pin connector at the end of a 5 foot cable. These are new devices as received from the manufacturer, AK II America, Inc. They meet most international safety requirements. Their convection cooled, compact package is 120 X 60 X 36 mm. (4.8 X 2.4 X 1.44 inches) and the unit weighs only 10 ounces. Look in any of the popular electronic component distributor catalogs (Digikey, Mouser, etc.) and you’ll find supplies like these going for $25 to $30 plus shipping and handling. A manufacturer's specification sheet (4 pages) showing all mechanical and electrical details will be packed in every shipment. Before retirement I had a business that manufactured CD demo systems that were often seen in local retail stores. These supplies powered the stereo amplifier, the electronics and the CDROM drive in the units. Excellent product. Never had a failure and shipped over 1000 all over the world. If safety and acceptance is an issue, these have been tested and are UL, cUL, TUV, CE, and Tmark rated. I've had quite a number of questions about the DIN connector pinout and dimensions. The connections are as follows: 1. Ground 2. N.C. 3. N.C. 4. +5V 5. +12V The details are shown on the specification sheet included with every shipment. The required input power cord is the same as the one used on most PCs, available at most electronic stores. When I Googled A25B1-02MP, the model number of this power supply, it found quite a few for sale. All were at a considerably higher price than this one and most were not new.
