Oxyuris vermicularis) Pinworm/Threadworm Trichuris trichiura Whipworm Ascaris lumbricoides Large roundworm Ancylostoma duodenale Hookworm Necator americanus American hookworm Strongyloides stercoralis Taenia spp. Tapeworm Opisthorchis viverrini Liver fluke Gnathostoma spinigerum Dosage and administration : Adults and children over 2 years Infections Dosage Enterobius vermicularis Ascaris lumbricoides Ancylostoma duodenale Necator americanus Trichuris trichiura 400 mg single dose. Taenia supp. Hymenolepis nana Strongeloides stercoralis 400 mg OD for 3 consecutive days. Opisthorchis viverrini 400 mg BID for 3 consecutive days. Gnathostoma spinigerum 400 mg OD for 21 consecutive days. Or 400 mg BID for 10 consecutive days. No special procedures such as fasting or purging are necessary. If the patient is not cured after 3 weeks, a second course of treatment is required. Contraindications : Albendazole is known to be teratogenic and embryotoxic in some animals.
