I have spent the summer hatching my own eggs, but we have a surplus this week! So, I'm selling. This picture is a true portrayal of our egg color. No flash, no doctoring… We only raise black copper marans and our breeding stock is pure. My original breeding stock was from a Bev Davis and Wade Jean line. Two years ago we purchased from Greenfire Farms and the darkest of those eggs have been hatched. We have spent 5 years breeding for the darkest egg possible. We will continue to breed for darker color in the future. Our roosters carry the beautiful, copper feathering and our hens have very little copper color. Most of them are solid black. All stock have full feathered legs. We run 3 roosters with 12 hens for a higher rate of female chicks. Our chickens have 4 acres of free space to roam and are fed a high quality diet. Eggs are collected twice daily and turned regularly until shipment. Disclaimer: Please be aware that with shipped eggs comes an assumed risk before bidding. I send fresh, clean eggs (unwashed), individually bubblewrapped and packed securely in a large USPS PRIORITY MAIL box.
