Because of their extra down Hedemoras are possibly the most cold hardy chicken in the world and should be kept in zones 2 to 4 or maybe a 5 unless you are willing to artificially cool them during the warmer months. They have excellent personalities and may easily become your favorites. They grow to be around 5 pounds. The parents came from Green Fire Farms and are from their first and second imported stock. The eggs will be individually bubble wrapped and double boxed. Please be aware that shipping hatching eggs can lower hatch rates, zero hatch's can happen and, We do not make refunds or replace eggs. Our eggs are checked for fertility on a regular basis. We wont send eggs that have been compromised by broody hens, temperatures, fecal matter etc; We cannot make P.O. claims for eggs this must be done by the buyer. We are NPIP Pa 581. We ship to AK for an additional $4.00 in postage. The Holidays can slow down the shipping process and we cannot replace eggs due to slow shipping but, express shipping is available for actual costs by request. We cannot replace eggs due to freezing but, a 72 hour heat pack can be added to your package for an additional $2.00 by request. We write fragile on the box and will write hatching eggs by request.
