Jill Rees Crested Cream Legbar Hatching Eggs Cream legbars are medium-sized autosexing breed that are known for their active foraging and ability to survive in a free-range environment. The breed was created by crossing a Brown Leghorn with a Barred Rock and the Araucana. The Araucana is the source of the sky blue eggs that the Cream Legbars lay. They are the most popular autosexing breed in the world. It is very easy to visually determine male and female at hatch. The males will have a white dot on the top of their heads at hatching. The females will have a chipmunk stripe running down their backs at hatch. Roosters are vigilant and protective of the hens. The hens are rarely broody and produce a large number of sky blue eggs. An average of 260 eggs a year. Cream legbar eggs are often deceptive in their appearance because the eggs tend to be more round than most chicken eggs, and because of this they look shorter and therefore smaller. If you weigh the eggs you will find they nicely compare to other breeds. Our breeder stock was purchased directly from Greenfire Farms! Orchard Hill Poultry NPIP 1426 Due to the time sensitive nature of hatching eggs, payment is expected immediately after the auction ends so that your eggs can ship out as soon as possible. We only accept Paypal for payment. Our eggs are now shipped in foam shippers to to better insure the safety of the eggs during shipment. The foam shippers also provide good insulation during the summer and winter months. We typically ship eggs Monday through Friday. If you would like your eggs shipped on Saturday please include a note when you check out through PayPal. We ship USPS Priority 2-day or 3-day. If you message us with your zip code then we can tell you if USPS should have your eggs to you in 2 or 3 days. In most cases, as long as payment is received by Sunday afternoon your eggs will ship out on Monday. In most cases, as long as payment is received by Monday afternoon your eggs will ship out on Tuesday. In most cases, as long as payment is received by Tuesday afternoon your eggs will ship out Wednesday. In most cases, as long as payment is received by Wednesday afternoon your eggs will ship out Thursday. In most cases, as long as payment is received by Thursday afternoon your eggs will ship out Friday. If these shipping schedules (for example shipping on Thursday for a Saturday or Monday delivery depending on USPS) do not work for you then please send us a message before placing a bid so that we can set up accomodations that will work for both of us. We only ship to the lower 48 states. Due to the time sensitive nature of hatching eggs, payment is expected immediately after the auction ends so that your eggs can ship out as soon as possible. If you are in a cold climate and want to add a Uniheat 72 hour shipping warmer to your shipment it will be an additional $4.00. Send us a message before you check out with Paypal so that we can send you an invoice with the shipping warmer included. Also, we recommend that you have your eggs held at your post office for you to pick up instead of having them delivered to your house. This saves them from traveling in a rough riding postal truck all day long that is either too hot or too cold. If you want them held at the post office just let us know in the note section when you check out with Paypal. Make sure to include your phone number with the note so that we can include it on the package for the post office to call you when the package arrives. Please contact us before leaving any negative feedback so we can work through any issues. Our concern is to make sure you are happy with your purchase. We cannot guarantee hatch rates due to many variables beyond our control during shipping. Rough handling, xray machines, fluctuating temperatures, and your experience with the actual incubation process all effect your hatch rate. Please leave my feedback based on the condition of the eggs you receive and not the hatch rate. I will always try to send extras to cover any that the shipper may crack.
