This article highlights the features of Decker 139 Sheathing Tape, which comes in a set of six rolls. Specifically designed to join and seal seams of house wrap sheathing and all exterior sheathing products, this red tape is made of a polypropylene film and coated with a specially engineered solvent-based acrylic adhesive. With a strong backing, it provides excellent moisture and air insulation. Decker 139 Sheathing Tape has good bonding to Tyvek and similar materials, and it can withstand sub-freezing temperatures. The tape's backing is made of polypropylene, and it has a tape thickness of 3 mil and film thickness of 1.6 mil. It boasts a tensile strength of 27 lbs./in., an adhesion of 53 oz./in., and an elongation of 125%. This sheathing tape can be used in a temperature range of 14o to 203o F (-10C to 95C). Decker 139 Sheathing Tape is equivalent to other brands, such as Intertape 85518, Shurtape HW 300, Dupont Tyvek Tape, and Fortifiber Sheathing Tape.
