6 SHOWGIRL Silkie Hatching Eggs. Possible Stripper! Possible sizzle! Possible sizzle showgirl! Possible satin showgirl!! NPIP tested. AI Free! Condition is NEW! You could get bow tie/showgirl silkies in white, black, paint or partridge (chipmunks are just so darn cute!).  The eggs you are buying are the result of breeding a showgirl silkie rooster to silkie and showgirl silkie hens as well as my sizzle hen. You are getting full breeds.  No mixed chicks!  You have about a fifty percent chance of a showgirl chick with each egg!  Roughly 25% chance of a stripper silkie!! Strippers are bowtie silkies (showgirls) without the bowtie. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY/DISCLAIMER:  I pledge to send you fresh, fertile hatching eggs on my end and truly want you to be successful and enjoy your beautiful silkies!!   I pledge to package them such that you will receive your eggs intact! HOWEVER, shipped eggs can be damaged during the trip. Your purchase is insured up to $50 and you should file a claim with the post office if your box arrives dented, delayed or have a particularly low hatch rate. There are no refunds or replacements as a result. For first time hatchers: please educate yourself on humidity and tips for hatching prior to ordering hatching eggs. Look up humidity especially as this can make or break your hatch rate. If you want to pick up your eggs at the PO please forward your phone number and I will add it to the box!  I thank you in advance and my girls thank you! Hatching Tips: 1. Start your incubator a few days before your eggs arrive.  It will take a few days for temp and humidity to stabilize. You are striving for 99.5-ish but below 100 and your humidity is around 30-40 percent.  Don't stress out if you aren't exact but be in this general range. I use the dry hatch method in Ga as the humidity is always high.  It's helpful to have a second hygrometer to double check humidity and temp.   2. Once your eggs arrive allow them to rest tip side down at least 10 hours -24 hours to allow air cells that have shifted to move back into place. Your eggs will be mostly clean as I clean my nest boxes daily. A small amount of dirt won’t hurt the chicks. 3. You can see development as early as 72 hours using a candler.  I'm impatient and want to now!  Refer to the egg photo above.  This egg was at day 7 but day 4 will look like that only smaller.   When you candle an egg you are looking for life obviously but you are also looking at the air cell to note that it is getting larger over the various candlings.  I typically candle on day 7, 10 or 14 (except for that day 4 bc I'm impatient and just have to know now) and I circle the air cell each time using a pencil.  This circle will get larger indicating that air is moving in and moisture is moving out of the egg.  This is good!  More Oxygen!!!!   4. Around day 18, stop turning the eggs and/or remove the turner as my chicks hatch as early as day 19 but can take as long as day 21.  If your eggs don't hatch by day 22, its doubtful they are going to but go ahead and leave them in the incubator or candle looking for movement. Chicks can hatch as soon as a half hour after popping it take as long as 24+ hours. At lockdown strive for 65% humidity. 5. As your chicks start to hatch get their brooder set up!!   Chicks need 95 degrees fir the first week and can take 5 degrees less each week but will be fine with the 95. If they get hit, they move away. If they’re cold they huddle. HURRAY!!!! You're a chicken momma or dadda!
