Description Slipstream’s X-Stream ZX-series Wastewater Evaporators and Wastewater Crystallizers are true Zero Liquid Discharge systems that eliminate your wastewater completely, transforming a wide variety of wastewater streams from metals finishing and electroplating, anodizing, passivation, processing and machining shops into landfill ready solids and gives back pure, distilled quality water to beneficially reuse. The result? No atmospheric discharge; no sewer discharge or having waste hauled off and dramatically reduced dependence on local utilities for fresh water. ZX-Series Evaporators and Crystallizers are simple to install: Supply wastewater, power and a roll-off, and you are ready to go. The operation is simple and has minimal operator requirements with full Allen Bradley automation and controls integration. Our wastewater evaporators and crystallizers are constructed using industrial materials known for their superior corrosion resistance such as 316L Stainless Steel and Titanium, specified on an application-specific basis. Even in the event of diminished output due to scale or build up, all wetted areas have been designed to be easily accessible, meaning that after a short maintenance cycle, the unit is back up and running. This means that our Evaporators and Crystallizers can accept virtually any industrial wastewater stream with little to no pretreatment. ZX-Series increases efficiency by a factor of 6 or more and provides clean, distilled quality water at approximately the feed rate. This increased efficiency greatly reduces the demand for make-up steam, thereby reducing boiler capital and operational costs. The Slipstream ZX-series has only a few simple inputs and outputs. Inputs: Wastewater Feed – The wastewater you desire to eliminate. This feed can have a high amount of suspended solids as well as dissolved solids. Both will end up in the solid or sludge produced. Gravity feed is sufficient pressure for this input. TDS: Up to 300,000 ppm. TSS: Up to 50,000 ppm and 1/8” particle size. Optional equipment is available for more stringent requirements. Power – 208vac - 480vac Natural Gas (Optional) – if a natural gas source is desired for steam generation, this needs to be supplied. Outputs: Residue – a powdery sludge that can be disposed of in a landfill drops into a customer-supplied roll-off or other such residual waste receptacle.
