This engine is part of my late son's estate. I was going to keep it but don't have adequate storage. The engine was taken to shows by him. The second picture shows it running when on the bed of an old truck. I don't recall the year of manufacture, the brass tag says: Engine No. 155177. RPM 375. HP 7E. I believe it to be around 1920; I understand that there are places where the build date can be found based on that serial number. The Drip Oiler has 1921 on it and has the proper vertical tube inside so it is a proper oiler for a hit and miss engine, not a replacement off of some other piece of machinery. See pictures. There are no cracks or repairs. I remember noting when it was last run that the flywheels ran true. The engine has rather low hours; the gears show little sign of wear. See Picture. This engine is equipped with an igniter, not a spark plug, and the magneto is a Webster Tri-Polar. The muffler looks to be the original as is the crank guard, carb and etc. All I did was wipe it down to get the dust off....I didn't attempt to clean up all the oil and grease that resulted from running at shows. I cannot crate and ship this engine, local pick-up in Walla Walla, Washington [Southeast corner]. I am willing to keep the engine here for a time until pick-up can be arraigned so there would be no rush to get here. If you have any questions or need more photos let me know. The roll-around stand that it is on is not part of the engine, it's for a radial aircraft engine]. I can use my car hoist to load it on a trailer or Pick-up.
