Its wire leads with miniature electrical connector attach to the leak detector's circuit board and charge via the leak detector's AC adapter. The power stick requires ten hours charging time when newly installed or fully depleted. It does not need to be fully charged to operate or fully discharged to recharge since it will charge while the leak detector is operating on AC power.
