75 KILO: Jabez Burns pre PROBAT, 6R 150lbs Iron Coffee Roaster US Manufactured. The J Burns Roaster has been in production in one place since 1983. Had two owners. This roaster comes with everything needed to be a large commercial operation. Package include the machine, cooling drum, destoner, chaff collector, dust collector, cyclone, feed tray, ladder conveyor, lead scale, switch board, gas connector/ pipes, venting system including ~10k +/- extractor. I've done some research on this roaster which is called a Jabez Burns & Sons 'full-bag roaster'. Apperantly made to roast coffee for troops in WW1. Jabez Burns and Sons roasters are the predecessor of famous PROBAT BURNS roasters, of which PROBAT BURNS roasters are the best money can buy. I found that J.Burns may have (probably was) been the original inventor of the modern drum roaster, and I've attached two of his U.S Patents are here - from 1864 and 1881 - and if you don't have time to look it up and read them, which might be a bit tedious, after seeing the images here it's pretty clear he's our guy. So for us (and many in the coffee industry) this roaster great, and is your potential ticket - almost no one has a roaster like this - there were apparently only 6 ever made, and we're yet to verify the actual year this one was in fact made, but it's stamped in cast iron New York so we know where it was made. Mechanically it is running well and it has been long running. This machine was used in a less than clean environment (thats being polite) so it really needs cosmetic restoration. There is a dent in the grain elevator on the right hand side chute (shown in the photos) and there are small knocks and dents and marks from use on the roaster. It's a very reliable roaster but it's certainly not new and 'shiny'. There is pile of storage bins, bucket elevators, and so on and so on that might be of interest that may be included such as an old style Coffee Time grinder and manual roller food scale that we will throw in.
