I've been asked to sell a major collection from Central Maine. There are more than 50 steam gauges, over 30 flyball governors - some quite large, steam toys, scientific items and lots of brass. These are all fresh to the market, direct from the garage, shed and attic. Check my listings often or contact me if you have a specific need. OLD TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATES PRESENTS This one's a mystery. The only marks are BB + 3 various casting numbers (BB 277, BB 458, BB 323 etc.) It's 17 1/2" long, 15" to the top of the pressure dome, and it weighs 68 pounds. I estimate the engine bore and stroke to be: 2 1/4" by 5". Shipping will involve carefully strapping it to a pallet. The oiler and 3/8" npt inlet and valve easily unscrews so that will be wrapped separately. I put 60 psi to it and nothing happened. As you can see it is pretty much covered in flaking red paint and surface rust. I easily removed the 4 bolts from the pump cylinder, steam cylinder and pressure dome, wanting to take photos to assess and demonstrate the condition of the cylinders. I tapped modestly with a wood block but was not able to break any of the covers loose. It is offered as is, it may be in need of some lubricant and cleaning and it will work fine, or it may be a boat anchor... so the opening bid reflects this unknown.
