This model was designed to securely attach to a 2" x 10" or larger floor joist with a minimum 3/4" subfloor. Our B+(5/8") OR C (1") rated safes have thicker steel than 99% of the competition. Most competitors only use 1/2" steel plate in their floor safe models. We also give you 1/4" thick steel bodies, when some competitors will only provide you 1/8" steel walls.
