Selling a A.B. Tools 2" Shear hog 3 flute carbide insert aluminum cutter with a 3/4" shank, Model #SH200-3/4. It is new in box I took it out of the box just to take pictures. The cutter has 3 brand new inserts and it includes a torx wrench ADEH 431 .01 radii inserts, valued at $20 each. This cutter is a must for anyone who cuts aluminum or other soft materials, like plastics & brass. I own a machine shop and have at least 1 of these on each machine. It is my go to tool for 2 totally different reasons. #1, best roughing tool ever made, can rough off aluminum at up to 1/4" depth of cut at very aggressive feed rates, can also spiral down with it on CNC's eliminating start holes and saving more time. Even on a Bridgeport you can rough off .15 deep cuts without putting much load on the machine. And the inserts last a very long time especially on machines with flood coolant. #2, this is the best cutter I have found for finishing surfaces of aluminum or plastic parts. It works just as well taking very fine cuts due to it's very efficient knife edge geometry. Parts remain flat & finishes come out extremely good. I usually get dull inserts that no longer give good finishes & hand grind a bigger radii for taking aggressive cuts. Therefore the best inserts are the ones with the .01 radii, because you can easily grind them when they get dull & keep using them. Tool can also rough with the .01's radii, but may not be able to be used for finish cuts afterward. If I have a big job that requires a lot of roughing & finishing cuts I will use 2 cutters.
