Although a rating of 4 seems like a good rating, it is considered sub-par by EBay & sellers are penalized with higher fees and lower search standings. My goal is for this transaction to be a 5-star transaction for you. Feedback & DSRs (Detailed Seller Ratings) are very important to eBay sellers. To better explain this the ebay rating system is setup so 1 low Detailed Seller Rating (1 or 2 stars) is about 5 times worse then recieving 1 negative feedback to us. Another way of saying it is we can get 5 negative feedbacks and it is not as bad as recieving 1 low (1 or 2 stars) Detailed seller rating. Its our opinion Ebay doesn't point this out because they profit from sellers like us losing their premium seller status by recieving to many low DSR's which causes Sellers to have to pay 20% more in ebay fees which with us ends up to cost us hunderds of dollars extra a month. Of course the buyer ends up paying more because sellers have to raise their prices due to the extra cost in ebay fees. I just wanted to point this out because both sellers and buyers lose from this system and only ebay stands to profit from it. If you do have a problem with something a seller is doing it is much more advantageous to email the seller and talk openly about a problem then secretly leave us low stars, On DSR report. This as a seller leaves us no idea what he did wrong or what item he made the mistake on.
