The problem is most cameras use CMOS sensors, and while they have been getting better, they don’t perform as well as CCD sensors in low light. In the past, the only CCD cameras available had D1/VGA resoluton and were mostly analog cameras. Enter the ACTi TCM-7811 with the Sony EXView HAD Progressive Scan CCD sensor.
