Every now and then I am in a quandary -- I have a mannequin that has some big problems -- big enough that I'm almost afraid to sell her on eBay for fear of a bad feedback rating. But, on the other hand, with enough photos and disclosure of her problems, I feel it's worthwhile. She can go to a home that will put her to use, instead of a dumpster. So, I have an "Adopt a Mannequin" club. If you find one of these in my listings, you'll know the mannequin has some serious issues. The price will be very low, and it is an opportunity to get a mannequin at a very low price! This beautiful, vintage fiberglass mannequin head probably hails from the 1960's or 1970's (judging from her red velvet base). For a roughly 50 year old lady, she has more than a few cracks and dings - but guess what? She's still beautiful, and she'll still do a great job modeling your merchandise! This is a former wig display from a beauty supply house that is no longer in business. I had quite a few of these that were exactly the same mannequin. Her twin sisters were snapped up and are happily selling hats and scarves in vintage clothing stores from California to England! I promised this pretty lady she'd go to a good home. So, here's your chance to fulfill her dreams! (When you write descriptions for as many mannequin heads as I have, you get a little loopy). I believe in detailing and showing every flaw with items I sell, so look closely at the photos and read the description carefully before bidding. I have photographed her from every angle for full disclosure. It's possible I may not find every little crack to mention here -- please rely on the photos as the final word, and if you have any questions, send me a message. Her problems: She has a large crack on her left cheek bone, and there's a small piece of fiberglass missing -- I point to it in photos. There's a long deep crack under her left shoulder that travels to her base. There are several long cracks on her back. She has a lot of facial scuffs and scratches throughout. Please see all photos and look carefully before bidding. None of her cracks interfere with her stability or ability to stand. All that detail is for full disclosure for two reasons: I have perfect feedback after 15 years on eBay, I don't want to blow that by selling a roughed up mannequin. I want you to bid, but more than anything, I want you to be happy when she arrives! I buy on eBay too, and I know the disappointment of buying a used item and not getting what you expect. So, I try to point out everything! Secondly, this old gal can still do her job and can model your vintage clothing like a pro! She doesn't need to go to a dumpster... she has many years left on her! Now for the good part! She has a pretty, exotic face. She has a red velvet base. She has "real" attached eyelashes! There is an attached nylon wig cap that will help keep a wig or hat more securely on her head. Her face is beautifully sculpted and life like. She has a beautiful skin tone, and neutral make up. Even though she has problems, she still looks beautiful! This auction is for the mannequin ONLY. WIG AND SCARF ARE NOT INCLUDED, but are photographed so you see that she can still do a fine job modeling your vintage merchandise. She has a nice weight, about 3 pounds. Color is cocoa.
