Every now and then I am in a quandary -- I have a mannequin that has some big problems -- big enough that I'm almost afraid to sell her on eBay for fear of a bad feedback rating. But, on the other hand, with enough photos and disclosure of her problems, I feel it's worthwhile. She can go to a home that will put her to use, instead of a dumpster. So, I have an "Adopt a Mannequin" club. If you find one of these in my listings, you'll know the mannequin has some serious issues. The price will be very low, and it is an opportunity to get a mannequin at a very low price! This beautiful, vintage mannequin head probably hails from the 1960's or 1970's (judging from her red velvet base). For a roughly 50 year old lady, she has more than a few cracks and dings - but guess what? She's still beautiful, and can still do a good job modeling your merchandise, especially for an online vintage store! This is a former wig display from a beauty supply house that is no longer in business. I had quite a few of these that were exactly the same mannequin. Her twin sisters were snapped up and are happily selling hats and scarves in vintage clothing stores from Martha's Vineyard to Australia! I promised this pretty lady she'd go to a good home. So, here's your chance to fulfill her dreams! (When you write descriptions for as many mannequin heads as I have, you get a little loopy). I believe in detailing and showing every flaw with items I sell, so look closely at the photos and read the description carefully before bidding. I have photographed her from every angle for full disclosure. It's possible I may not find every little crack to mention here -- please rely on the photos as the final word, and if you have any questions, send me a message. Her problems: Almost the entire back of her scalp is cracked, and most of the back of her torso. You can see some chunks of her scalp that are actually missing. What's amazing is how good her face looks, considering the extensive damage to the back of her head and back. All of the damage to her scalp would be hidden under a hat or wig, and if you put her in a small shirt or strategically wrap her torso in a scarf, she could still pass for looking great! Please look over these photos carefully because I want any buyer to understand her condition very well -- she is not in the best of condition, and that is why her price is so low and why there are so many disclaimers of her condition in this listing. Now for the good part! None of her cracks interfere with her stability or ability to stand. She has a pretty, exotic face with shimmery blue eyeshadow and bright pink "lipstick". She has a red velvet base. Her face is beautifully sculpted and life-like. She has a beautiful skin tone that is a warm brown. This auction is for the mannequin ONLY. WIG AND HAT ARE NOT INCLUDED, but are photographed so you see what she looks like dressed up. She has a nice weight, about 3 pounds. Color is cocoa. Height: 18.5" Head Circumference: 20.5" This was a former wig display from a beauty supply house that is no longer in business.
