It works on the principle of "super-heterodyne receiver" to convert higher frequencies (normally ranging up to several 10s of GHz) to measurable quantities. The received frequency spectrum is slowly swept through a range of pre-selected frequencies, converting the selected frequency to a measurable DC level (usually logarithmic scale), and displaying the same on the CRT of the Advantest R3271. The CRT displays received signal strength (y-axis) against frequency ( x-axis).   Some applications for Advantest R3271 Spectrum Analyzers include Site Monitoring: Verify that the frequency and signal strength of your transmitter is accurate. Interference: Before a system is installed you use a Advantest R3271 spectrum analyzer to verify that the frequencies (you plan to use) are not occupied or if the presence of a very strong signal will interfere with your new setup. Interference can be created by a number of different situations. Other tests that utilize the Advantest R3271 spectrum analyzer features include antenna isolation, co-channel interference, adjacent channel power, occupied bandwidth, intermodulation, microwave or satellite antenna alignment, and characterization of components.   Form Factor   Mainframe Input Impedance 50 Ohm Minimum Frequency 100 Hz Maximum Frequency 26.5 GHz Zero Span Yes Minimum Span 200 Hz Maximum Span 26.5 GHz Minimum Sweep Time 50 us Maximum Sweep Time 1000 s Minimum Resolution Bandwidth 10 Hz Maximum Resolution Bandwidth 3 MHz Resolution Bandwidth Steps 1/3/10 Minimum Video Bandwidth 1 Hz Maximum Video Bandwidth 3 MHz Video Bandwidth Steps 1/3/10 Minimum Single-Side-Band Noise -110 dBc/Hz Maximum Single-Side-Band Noise -95 dBc/Hz Maximum Safe AC Input 1 dBm Maximum DC Input 0 V Minimum Displayed Average Noise -130 dBm Maximum Displayed Average Noise -110 dBm Maximum Dynamic Range 40 dB Maximum Amplitude Uncertainty 5 % Trigger Source External,Internal Trigger Modes Freerun,TTL Demodulation AM,FM Connector type (main signal) Type-N(f) Probe Power Yes Noise Source Driver No Any questions Please call 540-775-0495.  Get Images that Make Supersized Seem Small.
