You are looking at a perfectly working, high end spectrum analyzer from ADVANTEST model R3271. It is better in performance than AGILENT 8563E and E4407B and has better phase noise specifications. You can see 50Hz noise sidebands 90dB down on a microwave signal; try doing this with another spectrum analyzer! The R3271 is very well built and has no known flaws. Do not even try to compare it to other units sold on eBay, with those fancy color displays, this unit is in a class by itself, made for serious spectrum analysis work, measuring signals other analyzers won't even notice. This R3271 can over-range from practically DC to over 30GHz and is calibrated up to 31.8GHz. It also has a full EMC measuring personality including Quasi Peak and 6dB EMI filters making it an excellent choice for your EMC measuring needs. Passes all self tests and works well within factory specifications. Has so many functions impossible to list here; for those unfamiliar with it, reading the operating manual here can be an eye opener. The firmware of the R3271 is really user friendly, has a wealth of useful customizable parameters and functions like only Advantest were able and willing to develop. An external monitor can be hooked up and it will plot screens on standard plotters. It is in very good shape and will serve you for many more years to come; it was fully refurbished, including a new power supply. The analyzer is directly supported by the KE5FX's GPIB toolkit, screens can be downloaded to PC directly and spectrum monitored in real-time, remotely via LAN etc. It is perfect for measuring the phase noise of your devices by using above utilities, due to its own ultra-low phase noise capabilities. Sold internationally non DOA of course. It is compact but heavy - shipping well packed to US and EU is $360 and Far East is $450. Please check our other items.
