Aerotech ATS 224 Linear Stage & ART 306 Rotary Stage System   For sale- an Aerotech combination Linear Stage Model ATS 224 with a Model ART 306 Rotary Stage mounted on top.  As you can see the ART 306 label actually shows it as an ART 306 2’, which I am guessing just basically is saying it’s an ART 306 with 2 feet of linear travel.  Using the manual roller mechanism I measure about 25.5 inches of travel max, but there are micro limit switches at each end so I am guessing if you let the motors do the work that probably limits it to 24 inches of travel.   There was a bit of light oxidation on the screw drive, so before I even started messing with it I wiped it down lightly with Vaseline.  Both the rotary stage and the ball screw linear stage move smoothly in either direction.  Overall the linear stage is six inches wide and the rotary stage is six inches in diameter.  The only issue I noticed was a not so nice little nick in the side rail of the linear stage shown in the picture with the ruler across it just above the “6”.  Going back and forth over that manually I didn’t notice anything, so I chose to just leave it as is.  Whether it might be an obstacle in motorized use I cannot say.   Untested other than as described, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered.  However, IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it.  Returns are ONLY allowed on Buy It Now Purchases.  Accepted Best Offers are strictly an as is sale, no returns allowed.  Return would be for a refund of the purchase price, not including shipping costs, which may be substantial.   Just so that we are clear on that, this is an item that has not been thoroughly tested.  As such it may work fine or it may have problems, so any purchase entails a certain degree of risk.  If you Buy It Now your risk is limited to the shipping costs both ways.  If you submit an offer you do so knowing that you cannot return it.  In either case it is up to you to decide whether the risk level is acceptable to you, and if not you need to pass on this particular item.   Comes with two Aerotech 630-1044 cables, which provides an extension but also turns the large round connector for both motors into a smaller round connector and a DB25 male.  When it comes time to ship this I probably am not going to have a box this long and narrow available, so please be patient while I procure something suitable.  No point in shipping it to you if it isn’t going to get there in usable condition.  The surplus condition code would theoretically mean it should be functional but that is more of a good omen than anything else.  Please check out my other listings for more interesting lab, test, and optical equipment, including some other Aerotech Unidex motion control.  Check back often!   Sold as is, as described, as pictured.  Potential buyers are asked to please make sure you have read the listing carefully, and understand what you are buying.  Ebay’s condition codes for used items, which I am now required to select from, might imply a degree of functionality that my limited time, knowledge, and facilities do not allow me to ascertain.  If the functional condition of the item is known it will be stated as such in the listing.  Unless a warranty is specifically offered returns are not accepted regardless of any implied functionality.   You are also encouraged to visit my “ME” page, where my terms, conditions, and philosophy of doing business are outlined.  I don’t think anything there is outside the bounds of normal e-commerce, but they are binding on the transaction.   Payment is expected within 7 days of the close of the sale and I need to hear from you within 3 days to confirm the transaction.  Because of the weight and/or bulk of the item I have chosen to let ebay’s shipping calculator figure out the cost based on your zip code.  Alternatively I would be happy to ship it charged to your Fedex account.  I will under NO circumstances ship it UPS, the people there don’t seem to be smart enough to handle a shipment charged to the recipients account, nor do they appear to be smart enough to correct their mistake after the fact.   With increasing frequency the ebay shipping calculator seems to be incapable of actually “calculating”, instead it prefers to tell you that the zip code you have entered is invalid.  Unless/Until they can fix it the only thing I can do is to plug my zip, your zip, the weight and dimensions in at fedex.com to arrive at a shipping cost for your particular shipment.  So if ebay isn’t providing a shipping cost automatically, you can always go to fedex.com and estimate it yourself.  It would be shipping from a fedex terminal in 22902.
