Product: Powder of Malts Extract (ME) + Agar (to make 100ml ME-broth or ME-agar (MEA) for Petri dish) Composition & Size: Malts Extract  3     gram, the final concentration is 3% in 100ml Peptone         0.5  gram, the final concentration is 0.5% in 100ml Agar                2 gram, packed separately from above 3 mixture ( commonly 0.5 – 2%) To make ME broth, dissolve above reagent mixture (malts extrac+ peptone, no agar powder) in 100ml water (final volume), sterilize (must) by autoclaving for 20 min at 15 psi (1.05 kg/cm2) on liquid cycle or pressure cooker (if autoclaving unavailable).  To make ME-Agar (MEA) Petri dish, dissolve all above reagent mixture including the agar powder in 100ml water (final volume), autoclave and cool to 50C and pour into clean Petri dish.
