Item Description And Condition: You are bidding on a used Agilent Technologies ESA-L Series E4408B 9 kHz to 26.5 GHz fully synthesized portable spectrum analyzer with option A4H installed. The analyzer is in good physical condition with a few dings and scratches from normal use, but has operational issues above 3 GHz (see below). The option installed is as follows: A4H - GPIB port and parallel port Also included with the analyzer is a CD containing six manuals in electronic format. The manuals on the CD are as follows: - ESA Series Getting Started Guide - ESA/PSA Series Instrument Messages And Functional Tests - ESA/PSA Series Measurement Guide And Programming Examples - ESA Series Service Guide - ESA Series User’s/Programmer’s Reference, Volume 1 - ESA Series User’s/Programmer’s Reference, Volume 2 The analyzer powers up and performs flawlessly below 3 GHz. Above 3 GHz, the signal displayed on the analyzers LCD is attenuated by at least 15 dB indicating a weak RHYTHM assembly. One picture shows the analyzer with its 50MHz @ -20dBm calibration signal presented at its input. Other pictures show the analyzer with a 5 GHz @ -20dBm, 10 GHz @ -20dBm, 15 GHz @ -20dBm, 20 GHz @ -20dBm and 26.5 GHz @ -20 dBm signal presented at its input. The analyzer responds to random signals between 9 kHz and 26.5 GHz presented at its input but is not accurate above 3 GHz. Repair and calibration of the analyzer can be purchased at an additional cost before shipment. If calibration is purchased in addition to repair of the analyzer, a certificate of calibration will be included with the analyzer. Please inquire about repair and calibration options and their cost.
