83711a signal generator  works flawlessly, lcd is great! no major burn  or dimness.. looks like it has low hours. has opt 1e5 the super stable timebase. amplitude varies by frequency but gives about +15 db at 20 ghz. and usually gets around -9 db thruout the range ,except for 1 to 2 ghz, it gets about -3db at the low end. you can buy attenuators for these or use an external stepped attenuator as well which actually helps expand its usefullness.  also disregard the specs, it gets much more dynamic range than its spec'd out at. tested signal into my spectrum analyzer and  cw's great , amplitude accuracy is within spec and super flat, . signal output is super clean and well above spec for phase noise and signal is stable.there are no spikes in the noise floor so ytos are clean. spurious signals /harmonics  are well within spec as well.  checked all specs and well within limits. comes with a brand new nist traceable cal cert. for returns, you must pay shipping both ways.
