The unit generates a 10 Gb/s or 2.5 Gb/s clock source which can be offset by up to ±20 ppm. It accepts an external reference source of 156 MHz, 622 MHz, or 2.5 GHz.? The J1421A also accepts an external clock input at 10 GHz or 2.5 GHz. This module can be slaved to a 156 MHz clock recovered from the J1420B Receiver module.
