For your consideration today, we have a vintage Wm. Ainsworth Analytical Chain Weight Scale dating Ca.1959. This is the Type BB M2 model, with magnetic dampers built into the case....it was the better of the two models, making quick measurements much easier. This piece was used by a chemist from Morton Salt. I received it from the owners son after the father passed away. He was allowed to keep the scale when the company switched to digital ones. He used it only for decoration until he passed. I consider this item to be in excellent condition, although I am unable to fully test it. The front glass panel slides up assisted by counterweights which are still funtional. There is a rear panel that slides up as well, but that panel is not counterweighted. All of the glass is intact, and there are no cracked or scratched panels. There is no drop weight, but the vintage container for it is still in the storage panel below. The original dated inspection sheet is also included and is dated 1959. There are a couple missing calibration weights, but the ones that are included are in their original case in the storage drawer. There is minor loss to the finish around the unit. This is a very heavy unit, weighing about 37 pounds. It measures 19" tall by 18" wide by 10" deep. This unit will be packed and shipped via UPS, and insured for the final purchase price. Please note the shipping costs and bid accordingly. If you would like to pick it up instead, I can arrange that. All pics are of the actual item you'll receive in this NO RESERVE listing! Please check them all out, as they are part of the description as well! Good luck and happy bidding! Be sure to check out my other listings for more great items!
