Check valves have been tested to 400 Degrees F. for Air; rated 400 PSI Max. pressure. External threads are coated with Loctite Vibra-Seal 516 dry type thread sealant. Inlet or Air Line from compressor fitting: 3/4" Female Pipe Thread Outlet or tank side fitting: 3/4" NPT Male Pipe Thread The bottoms threads of this valve are: 3/4" Male Pipe thread, this is the side that screw into the air tank. The top of this valve where the discharge tube or line that comes off the compressor connects to is 3/4 FEMALE PIPE THREAD. The threads for the bleed line is 1/8" Female "NPT" thread and comes with a plug which can be left in or removed to connect to the bleeder line or unloader line. For Industrial and Commercial applications. INLET: 3/4" Female Pipe Thread OUTLET: 3/4" Male Pipe Thread This is the check that screws into the air compressor tank. When this check valve goes bad the air keeps coming out the relief valve on the pressure switch. This check valve is suppose to hold the pressure in the tank and allow the pressure between the outlet of the compressor and the inlet of the tank to release when the pressure switch satisfies. This happens so the compressor does not start with a load or a head pressure on the discharge side. This valve should allow flow one way, thus the term "CHECK-VALVE" is used.
