The FS Flow Sensor Valve is designed to protect personnel and property in case of hose failure, in compliance with Federal Safety Regulations OSHA. The Flow Sensor automatically shuts off air flow in the case of a ruptured hose, reducing hose whip and the risk of injury or damage. Flow Sensors are intended for use with compressed air. Please see the catalog page located in the "Documents" section below for detailed ordering information. In simple terms, if you place this device on your hard line leaving your air compressor it will sence when an air line has broke and automatically stop the flow of air to your tool so that you dont have a wild snake hose flailing around. It is generally used on large "pull behind" compressors such as an IR-185 or a Sullair-125 or compressors that are even larger. In the "Features" section listed below it says that it will work in any orientation although there is an arrow showing you which way the air should flow through the device. The orientation just means that it will work upside down or sideways depending on how far you can tighten it onto your hardline.
