The "Johnson Bar" Screw Extractor - 3/8" Drive Invented by a retired Air Force mechanic, the Johnson Bar doesn't care if it's a Phillips, Tri-Wing, or Hi-Torque.  When all other screw removal tools fail, this is the tool to call on.   Folds up for easy storage. Basically a bar with a floating end, you screw one end to an empty screw hole, and slide the head to the stripped screw, and you grab the handle, and pull down, and use a 3/8 drive rachet to remove the screw. The concept is that you are able to exert a high amount of force down on to the stuck screw giving your screwdriver bit no chance at all to pop out of the head as you turn it out.
