The Alber Cellcorder CRT-300 Cell Resistance Tester The Alber Cellcorder CRT-300 cell resistance tester displays and records cell float voltage, internal cell resistance and intercell connection resistance. The portable unit is lightweight, rugged and durable. Standard features include a memory card, backlit graphical reflective LCD display for better contrast and specially designed cables and clamps with interchangeable jaws for different battery post designs. A built-in infrared port provides wireless communications to printer, PDA, DMA-35N Hydrometer or laptop computer. Accurate Data in a Fraction of Normal Test Time The Alber Cellcorder can be used on single cell or multicell modules. The memory card allows a virtually unlimited amount of data storage. The memory card, infrared port or optional internal modem transfers readings to a PC for analysis and report generation. Using a compatible hydrometer, you may also download specific gravity and temperature data to the Cellcorder using the wireless infrared port. The high contrast, 128 x 64 pixel, backlit graphical display shows menus and test results. A fully charged Cellcorder can test for seven hours while isolated operation helps ensure safety and makes the unit easy to move around. System Capabilities: Float Voltage Readings The Cellcorder measures the voltage applied during full float operation. The voltage range covers all cells or modules up to 20 volts with accuracy up to four full digits. Internal Cell Resistance Using a patented process, the Cellcorder applies a momentary load and calculates internal cell resistance by determining instantaneous voltage drop and load current. Algorithms make this measurement possible on cells floating on-line or off-line. Intercell Resistance The Cellcorder measures the resistance between two electrically connected cell terminals. The measurement consists of connector resistance and contact resistance at the points of connection to the cell terminals. Auto Ranging The Cellcorder automatically selects the correct voltage range, load resistor, and time for a test. Reliable Readings The Cellcorder performs even in high noise environments - without the need to disconnect the battery from service. Up to a 60 amp DC load (on 2V cells) is used to calculate internal cell resistance and intercell resistance. Circuitry rejects the 50Hz/60Hz ripple often troublesome to AC-based impedance and conductance meters. Easy-To-Use Includes a combination keypad for alphanumeric data entry plus shift key for quick function keys. Interactive, multi-function menu buttons correlate to relevant menu selections on screen. A navigation key allows easy selection of choices in menu.
