Brand new in package The Albrecht 73090 CP160-R8 Classic Plus Keyless Drill Chuck has a 1/8" to 5/8" drill bit capacity and has an integrated shank that makes this chuck more compact than the Classic Keyless models with a separate arbor and provides more rigidity and accuracy. The keyless design provides a tight grip on the tool with a twist of the sleeve by hand and without need for a key. It also has a knurled collar for a good gripping surface when opening and closing the chuck. An integrated R8 shank eliminates risk of the chuck slipping off an arbor. The chuck is made of heat-treated alloy steel, which provides a balance of strength and wear resistance. This chuck is for use in clockwise direction only. Drill chucks have a set of internal jaws that tighten to hold a rotating bit on machines such as drill presses, jig borers, and milling machines. Key-lock drill chucks are tightened with a key, wrench-lock drill chucks are tightened with a wrench, and keyless drill chucks are tightened by twisting the sleeve of the chuck by hand. Drill chucks have an integrated shank that is part of the drill chuck or are designed to accommodate an arbor (sold separately) for mounting to a machine.
